8:30 pm in the IAGD Social Hall

Professor Tariq Ramadan is on the faculty of Theology and Religion at Oxford University and lectures worldwide on theology, ethics, interfaith and intercultural dialogue. Among Professor Ramadan’s many publications are his books The Arab Awakening : Islam and the New Middle East, The Quest for Meaning, and Radical Reform, Islamic Ethics and Liberation. Praised by Time and American Foreign Policy magazines, he is one of the foremost speakers on contemporary Islamic issues and Islam and Muslims in the West.

The evening’s speech will be followed by a question and answer session and book signing.

This event has been sponsored by community members and attendance is free. Donations, however, would be welcome to help IAGD continue to bring distinguished speakers. PLEASE NOTE :

Earlier in the day Dr. Ramadan will be speaking at Oakland University on "Islam and The Arab Awakening" at 6:00 pm at Meadowbrook Theater (207 N Wilson Rochester Hills, MI 48309). That event will also be followed by question and answer session and book signing. Contact Oakland University for more information and tickets for that event.
