What is this life about ?

What is this life about? What are we doing here? What will become of us? The reality is crippling and the numbers paralyzing: 40, 000 people die of hunger each day.  The aids epidemic alone kills 2 million Africans every year.  Dictators, wars, repression, torture, and bombes ravage hundreds of thousands of human souls.

The people of Iraq suffer.  They are witnesses and know- the great powers who carry the « just cause» with their own interests in mind.

The people of Bosnia, Rwanda, Chechnya, Kosovo suffer.  Now Iraq.  They have been filmed and written about.  It is tragic.  There as well as here.

Millions of unemployed are included in the great big economic plan but nonetheless,    thrown on the curb.  In the ghettos and cities, violence is the only answer because they have nothing left to hope for and nothing has ever been given to them.  They are put in their “new paradise,” a  prison of freedom with alcohol and drugs.  What is this world coming to?   A promise of life, perhaps.  It is hell, actually but no one lets on.

True, we could play the victim card: it was not our choice to be here.  We are taking this reality very hard, very hard.  We are not responsible.  There are people out there who are manipulative, they do not like us.  They spend their entire time trying to break us.  They are powerful, intelligent, very intelligent.  The world will be destroyed under their control.   We are stripped. Believers, of course but stripped just the same.

The forces of evil have transformed this world into a gigantic tomb.  Living, we are dead.  The living dead, spectators of this life, beurocrats of what is left of our faith.

We affirm but we are stripped.  As time passes, people are dying and we are already dead.

Perhaps the day will come, if God so wills,  where our faith which makes us « act, » will make us something else besides beurocrats of our faith.  « Victims and  beurocrats « , the challenge is to know how to respond to our own hurts.  We are very much in our times.  We are in our epoque.

« Oh you who have faith, respond to the call of God and his messenger when they call you towards what makes you live and know that God places himself between man and his heart » A message ? A sign ? A solution ? It is a trap to look at the world or one’s surroundings through the eyes of an objective spectator, carrying your faith as one carries a book.

God speaks to every individual and draws out their path: life, the real life is inside God, close to the heart.  Come close to the light and knowledge of the lucid consciousness.  It is the intimate call of God and the example of His Messenger-the source, the force, the energy and vigor.  It  comes from the heart, is created in love and changes our perception of the world so that we can in the end transform and reform it.  This is the real meaning of the verse: « God does not change a people until the people change what is within themselves. » « They » are us, it is everyone amongst us, it is you, it is me.  What to do? Where to start?

Orient your lucidity towards the inside.  Relocate the path of your own fragility and accept it.  Find God between you and yourself.  Remember him, speak to him, try to find His trust.  Far from humans, close to Him…. within yourself.

The road always starts from the center even if this optical illusion makes you think otherwise.  Abraham was alone as a community, before becoming the father of a community of souls.  Knowing your fragility with God will lead you to a trust in His closeness and force.  You will feel, you will know, you will understand that anything is possible.  Anything is truly possible.

Above the stupidity of man and their cupidity,  above their violence and their treason, above the misfortune they spread, anything is possible and God accompanies and protects those who search out His love and His trust.

Yesterday you felt like a victim and a mere spectator.  Today your heart, accompanied by   God will give you the freedom of those who act.  It is not enough to believe in him: âmana does not mean  « to believe » but more so to  « arrive at a  trust and security ».

You are on the wrong path if you have misunderstood the meaning of this word. The best clothing on earth is the intimate awareness of God (at-taqwâ): it is the remembrance, intensity, and trust in God which will provide perseverance and certitude that anything is possible for Him.

It is up to you to do what you can, everything you can, to the limit of what you can.  Each day, with certitude and trust that what will happen will happen.  Even if all souls of this earth destroy the earth, destroy and destroy again, it is only Him who is the Master of the creation and is waiting for you to create, build, organize and reform… for Him, for man, for creation.  In the name of  love, in the name of dignity, In the name of being a witness: God is unique and Muhamed (PBUH) is his messenger.
