As a muslimwoman living in the west I´m a strong believer of the last made point: the thinking about and the pratical situation of women is improving. People who used to be most harsh to women in my own family have become the most loving husbands, fathers and brothers. Women and men are growing closer towards each other. Yes, there are still women who are used as doormats, but I believe that resisting this kind of treatment makes a difference; I did my own part and am -when I look in retrospective back to 20 years ago- amazed at the difference.
