Islam and Life: Cultural Violence Against Islam

Why do you always see Muslims as infants who can not take responsibility for themselves, and lack the capacity to make their own choices regarding consumerism, unable to resist temptations of modern world, as a result suffering addictions of various kinds. Would you suggest they should reject the modern world and live simple lives like the 7th century early desert Muslims, i.e Salati way of thinking (Wahabism)?
In effect, you are telling them, ” you are helpless victims of the aggressive West, the colonizers who are out to get you, to control your life”, thus perpetuating their already strong paranoia and sense of victimhood which drives them to wage terrorist attacks on the West. May be you think the West makes them do the terrorism acts, they are not active agents, things are done to them. So their addiction problems are not due to their lacking adult self-descipline, self-mastery, or lack of capacity to make the right healthy choices but the fault of the West which makes them do things they don’t want, controls their thoughts by sending invisible electromagnetic waves through TV and media to their brains, rubbing them of their will. Thes are symptoms of the sever mental disorder, paranois Zchizopheria!
I have yet to meet a Muslim who takes responsibilty for their bad choices or actions. It is always other people’s faults, the evil other who is persecuting them, they are eternally victims of other’s aggression. They are never responsible for anything they do. It is always “done” to them. Will they ever grow up from their infantile stage of development to responsible adults?
