The gap between the two speakers is really huge between clear straight forward and consistent answer and very confusing and emotional speech. I m sure you know who is who.
Sir Tariq it would have been more illuminating if you have used the example “Two concepts of liberty” which Isiah Berlin has introduced, also known as negative and positive liberty to explain that totalitarian liberty doesn’t excist and that liberty means at the end responsibility. Thank you.
I like how Tariq Ramadan comes like a boss and answers his questions impromptu while his opposition is reading off paper and taking notes. Despite coming all prepared she is still struggling.
Great answers by Professor Tariq, he is always clear and precise and knows what he is talking about. Mariam on the other hand is very confused and could not answer any of the questions clearly.
People are soo confused, if only they could see how simple and pure the Muslims who follow what is actually prescribed to Muslims is! Lovely listening to intelligent Muslim speakers. Keep up the great work Professor Tariq Ramadan.
I like the way you talk about education, mutual respect, less obsession with rights and more understanding of our life together. Freedom of expression is not an excuse for hurting people with an opinion. I say Allah Razi olsun for it. Es-Salaam alaikum! Sabahudin Becirovic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zenica city

I dont get it sometimes. If freedom of expression is lawful than why defamation and libel is a crime?

You are always the voice of the voiceless
Nothing new in your strategy
May Allah bless you

I would like to say shortly that better we say ‘Muslimophobia’, rather we say ‘Islamophobia’.
