So I think the best way to counter terrorism and hatred is by reducing the amount of ignorant people. Like Mr. Tariq Ramadan said, we need to educate people. Schools should teach about the big religions to be able to understand the other as of to why they act and do something that way. I’m a muslim and being born in Canada and learning about other religions, I can say, I’ve been lucky. I can understand more of the big religions, even the indigenous religions because in Canada they were there before it gets colonized and we got to hear about them and their religion in our history class.
Not only will it make people more knowledgeable about other religions, but it will make them understand better their own religion. Like, again, Mr Tariq Ramadain said <>. Every person here has made a really good point and that point is, people are too narrow minded. Yes, you follow your religion, but for us muslims as far as I know, it doesn’t say you are forbidden to understand the other person and to respect him/her. Politic problems should not be directed to a religious group.
