We needed answers as to why Muslims are in such disarray today in all fields but typically as most of us your guest also lives in some delusion where we were great and maybe will be great in future, present be damned . We need honest people not liars (sorry to use the word )

Muslims are in such a disarray in many countries possibly due to local political, psychological, social, and educational problems. The sciences related to these fields of action are generally ignored and often opposed by Muslim leaders and governments. The argument often is that the religious sciences ( further study of Qur`aan, Hadith, Arabic) are sufficient for Muslims. That Muslims do not need the social sciences and humanities which have developed in the course of Western civilization. This belief is based on false premises and arises from a kind of knowledge politics among the Muslim religious and secular ‘ulema.
Knowledge of the social sciences as a separate realm and knowledge of the Western languages which are the key to that realm are not sufficiently emphasized in the presentation.
