  1. I feel that a human being when using his wisdom given by God, is capable, in different ways (depending on culture and religion) find God. And the differences in seeing God to my opinion complement each other in learning about God and i think we should therefore be more together with at least the three big religions and learn from each others differences. ( even if we do not agree in everything)To me there are exactly the same things about faith in Christianity than in Islam. In everyday life Its the struggle between our so called natural being (flesh) and the spiritual being.
To me i think its the fundamentalist that lack the knowledge and the wisdom, the one that start to emphasize his own best and in doing so forgets the best from God’s point of view (this happens so easy when our selfish mind takes over ) , one who makes God serve himself instead of him serving God – causes the problems that occur between religions. Here in Finland its seen clearly that people refer to Christianity when they want their own good! But, the Bible talks against that ! We read the Bible and see what God says but our hearts and minds are elsewhere. What i see in the teachings of Islam its exactly the same, the problem.
The greediness and selfishness of human natural state (in this world natural) takes over and makes us blind to God’s teachings so we do not understand what we read. We need to be totally humble and open in our hearts to God. We cannot be very good in that maybe, but it is the effort we are at least to make as believers.
I feel that in Islam and in Christianity the fact that binds us together as the same God’s made beings, is LOVE. And in love our differences become less important. Im i wrong? This is what i feel personally.
What i feel is very good in Islam, is that you have instructions, daily duties, to humble yourself towards God and towards others. When its like that- a routine part of life- it comes a good deed. In Christianity we have given up too much the duty, as to have an individual right and choice, maybe because we have a culture based on this idea. For example: In finland, we do not so much like to use the polite words here and what more, they are often even considered as fake, but when i go to France i do enjoy it when people are polite and open doors for me with a smile:). So i do think its important that some things become a habit weather considered fake or not fake, the thing that matters in those habits is that they are Good, and because they are good they produce good deed. Here sometimes i hear someone saying, that helping others is just a selfish act and done only by means of reaching a good feeling for oneself!! Well this is the individualism that we so proudly defend. Another one is that when you do good you are actually putting a pressure for others to do so too, and cause unnecessary quilt in those who do not want to do good or cant do it, or who do not believe in such ! In short you cannot moralize! its wrong! In a modern democratic, pluralistic, individualistic, society that has won equal rights for everyone, or something like that! Life has become very complicated ! Life is seen as me and the others. Not as us. They are the others that suffer not me.
Its God that teaches us that if you do good its for your own good. And if you give you are given many times more back what you give. Sometimes here i go and visit a friend and she wants me to pay the food i eat at her place, because It is seen that its away form you if someone eats the food you have bought. It is not seeing as sharing but giving away, loosing. This is of course another individual opinion and ones right for it. 😉
God has the information and the knowledge that holds the hidden truth, the truth that is for our best.
We may not know it because it does not look like its our best, maybe, but if we trust God’s commands and His words we will see that it is indeed our best. And its a nature of life, meant for us.
We do not eat dinners together here in Finland anymore, we are so busy we do not have the time. Each one eats on his own when he has the time. When i go to France i enjoy the dinner shared by others, because it is better and more enjoyable when shared. When i was living with french family they told me the dinner shared together, is seen in catholic countries as Jesus’s command to us when having His last supper with His disciples : “…do this in remembrance of Me.” Of course it’s from God because it is good for you!
For me this was a new experience, a new view to the life of christianity.”, a christianity to in practise. And I will always be grateful of this experience. I had to go away to another culture to learn this. These things you don’t know unless they open to you. But unless you open your mind and heart, you will never know it.
I remember before going to France as young woman many were concerned about what i’m to do about spiritual life where do i go for church service? because they are catholics there. I did not even think that but when i did i couldn’t really see why there would be any problems either. Instead i see now that by living with Catholique family and culture I was in a position to learn that the difference is not problem but a richness!

Im looking forward to go to a culture of Islam to learn more and learn about God from another point of view.

I think the faith is in your heart and its a personal thing between you and God but you can be in a position to learn and share with others in respect, and that goes with all the religions and ideologies not only the three big ones.
