Summer School Granada 17th June 2014 – Public Lecture:”Islamic Political Ethics Through a De-Colonial Frame”

Most talkers here say Muslim violence is a reaction to colonization and occupation of the West, as if Islam didn’t send its armies to colonize through Jihad the non-Arab nations of the Middle and Europe? Just in case you try to validate your colonizations as being ethical and good, the Muslim army leader, Khalid Ibn walid’s mass rape of European women is well documented. This parrot like repetition of West’s attack on Muslims has no foundation in reality. Yes, they did it in the past. So did the Muslims. So you imply that the Muslim attacks in Nigeria, Myanmar, Thailand, Philippine, Balli, Madrid etc are due to colonization. Did these countries attack any Muslim country?? You come across as saying that all of you Muslims are angelic victims that are, like helpless infants at the receiving end of the evil “other”, implying that Muslims are not adults with any responsibility to the horrors and the blood shed that are taking placing in the Middle East? You mean the West’s time machine went back to divide Muslims into Sunni and Shiah sects, to be enemies? Muslims will blame others for every disaster they make. They never take responsibility for any evil they commit. It’s the West that makes them do nasty things, even when they do it to each other! Paranoia/lack of critical thinking. I assume you are blaming the West for the wide spread child abuse when Muslim males marry 9 year old little girls following the example of their prophet. You mean the West’s time machine went back to force Mohammad to have sex with a 9 year old Aysha-sex with a child is always rape- and the subsequent paedophile crimes committed by Muslim men through the last 1400 years by following his example? This is still widespread in Yemen, Pakistan, Iran and other Islamic countries that follow Shariah Laws. To point out some facts in Mohammad’s biography is risky as Muslims have demonstrated to the world that they worship Mohammad (not God) because they threatened to kill anyone criticizing him or his Ideology of Islam but they make no such threats when God is criticized ( I can mention countless examples to back up this fact). People are fearful of even criticizing atrocities committed by other Muslims for fear of being accused of racism ( the Rochdale sexual exploitation of 1400 white girls/children by 100% Muslim males with the social services and police not acting for fear of accusations of racism. The same happening in Oxford and other areas by 100% Muslim males whose religious preachers of hate/Muslim communities indoctrinated them that non-Muslim white girls are cheap tarts with no value to be treated like the way sex slaves- Sabaya/ Jawari- during early Islam) Muslims are always ready to use accusations of racism to silent others from criticizing them, again they assume all of them are angelic innocents, never responsible for their actions. As their leaders/clergy/scholars attribute all their problems to colonization/racism of the West, they never find any reason to change themselves. Indeed, they are never racists themselves. Their preachers do not, day and night, preach hate against non-muslims, labelling them as monkeys and pigs to be killed through Jihad. Even so called reformers are constantly pointing the finger to the West, to racism as the source of Muslim problems. No wonder, according to the UN figures, Muslim countries appear at the bottom of world nations, in terms of the human development. They are in a sorry state in every aspect of human development, but of course, it is due to colonization!! racism!! not lack of critical thinking. The West progresses, achieves and develops every day because there are numerous internal critics that see with critical eyes and challenge the status quo fearlessly.
So who is the real tyrant and abuser of Human Rights in the Middle East? Muslims have been programmed to say it is the West. When the West interfered to free them of the tyrant Saddam Hussain, the Muslims said they declared war against Islam. When the West refused to interfere in Syria, Muslims accused the West with not caring, not helping Muslims, (ignoring the fact that the West helped Muslim Bosnia against the Christian Serbia). Bush, after Sept 11 acted to stop the global jihad by al-Qaida, by finding a place where they could be fought/eliminated , ending 23 Years of Slaughter under Saddam Hussein who killed over 1,000,000 Muslims during his 23 years rule. True, this led to surfacing the dormant Sunni and Shiah war and suicide bombings which led to large scale killing of civilians and delaying the west’s withdrawal. But even the daily suicide bombers killings in the Baghdad markets were attributed to USA. strange, the way Muslims wash their hands of any responsibility. It is always done to them.
We are tired of Muslims because of the never-ending conflict that Muslims have with nearly EVERYTHING. ISIS, Boko haram etc. murdering, enslaving, raping. We have people in the West becoming radicalized and trying to start plots to blow up commuters on their way to work, or going to join the jihad elsewhere in the world. Why? they are following later writings of Mohammed that still advise mass murdering of infidels, which conveniently override his earlier teachings of peaceful cohabitation when read through the Islamic lens of abrogation – this has been going on for centuries. Against so called infidels, just snapshots of 1400 years of global jihad and Islamic colonization. When they have no Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus to have conflict with, they start killing each other. I assume you are blaming the West for the current situation in Syria/Iraq/the enslaving, raping and killing of infidel women & children by ISIS, Boko haram, Al-shabab? You mean the West created a time machine, then went back in time and forced Muhammad to order the beheading of 600 male members, including all the children older than 11, of a Jewish tribe who did support his wars. This Genocide by the founder of Islam and the raping of non-Muslim women captives, sex slaves (Jawari), is it not very similar to what Boko Haram, Al-shabab and ISIS doing to non-Muslim captives today? are not their beheadings, all done faithfully copying the prophet’s biography? Is ISIS beheadings and mass raping, sexual enslaving and selling in the market of Yazidi women captives (called Sabaya in Quoran and Sunna), not Islam inspired and according to the ideology of Islamic Jihad, the Islamic cult of “convert or die or pay heavy annual penalties in case of people of the book?
So this is not Muslim Sunni and Shiah war? It is caused by the West as you see it? People find this perception delusional, given that Muslim Sunni and Shiah have been killing each other for a millennium now – with or without America and the west! Read Islamic history!
You may introduce some of sanity into your lives, if you get out of the state of the parrot like automatic repetition that colonization of the West is the cause for all your problems. You are spending so much time and energy attributing all your problems to outsiders, weaving delusional conspiracy theories ( your dictators have succeeded in turning you all in the Middle East into paranoid schizophrenics who believe their oppression is caused by the outside forces (Alien colonizers), rather than take responsibility for internal failures. You need someone honest, with capacity for independent rational critical thinking who is brave, fearless in speaking out and confronting problems within (not someone who reinforces your failed belief system which will not help you). Maybe that takes more guts? How else is the Muslim’s situation change unless Muslim’s change it? Or, are you expecting the West to change it for you? The problem is even when the West tries to help you, you will label that as domination, colonization, racism and hence find yourselves trapped in a vicious cycle of learned helplessness.
