“Woman was created from a bent rib. If you want to enjoy her, you enjoy her while she is still bent. If you will try to straighten her, you will break her.” -Prophet Mohammad SAW
Described as bone
Brittle; not to be snapped
Not to be
Trapped, measured, regulated
Monitored
They were described as rib cages
Not caged ribs
To be consumed by the eyes, ears, mouths of men
To be broken by Western liberation so they may be “free”
To be guided by the subtle suffocation of their sisters
To be barred in
Stop trying to straighten me out
Because I may be the rib cage,
But it is your heart I carry
Your heart that beats in my palm
Realize that I act as protection
You are more vulnerable, believe me
And if you try to straighten me according to your fancy
I swear
I will break you
too.
