Sorry my brother I respect you as a Sunni muslim but talking this way, you seem like an ignorant.
I think that you have to reconsider your admiration of the thinker Ramadan.. Do you have admiration regarding his strong ideas and his positions (i.e. the most important) or you focus (like a young child) only the « people » side of Mr Ramadan ?
I think the most important is that you know that the reason, the dialogue is our only solution as muslim (Sunni or Shi’ah) to live together in peace and dignity.
You are treating the Shia muslims as secterians but what do you think about the thousands Hadiths in the Sunni traditions where Shi’ah draw and defend their ideas and their positions about Islam, life and history of Islam ?
I will be happy if you reconsider your position.

I think that accuracy, thoroughness, sincerity and openness are important things that all humans must learn before starting the search for truth, any truth!
Your shi’ah brothers can wait you more than one minute to let you know more about their philosophy… anyway it is good for our unity, as the brother Tariq has said.

I don’t see where Tariq is being censored and directed. For you to use the word sectarian shows that you are biaised.
I think what Dr. Ramadan has done is great. He tried to build a bridge between Shiaa and Sunni Muslims. This cannot be achieved wihtout dialogue. I see a division even between Sunni Muslims here in Canada: between those born in Pakistan/Afghanistan and those of Egyptian origins, Lebanese, Somalis etc… we need to look beyond ou cultural differences. In the case of Shiaa and Sunni I don’t know what the answer is as I am not an expert.
But wathever Tariq Ramadan is doing, i.e. bringing both parties at the table to have a dialoque, is certainly the best way.
